Monday Mitzvah Quarterback will return to its regularly scheduled time slot a week from today. We felt the need to do something special for Hall-O-Ween!
No, Halloween is not a Jewish holiday. In fact, according to the Jewish calendar we are in the month of Heshvan, a month of no holidays at all! Considered to be a nice break from the all the fall holiday activity and Chanukah! However, Halloween is a very special day to Modern Jewish Mitzvah editor, Michele. The 30th Anniversary of her Torah portion (Noah) was this past weekend. It is rare when an actual child get to celebrate his/her Mitzvah on his/her actual 13th birthday. Michele celebrated turning 13 and Halloween from the Bemah. Today’s featured Bar Mitzvah from Karen Ard Photography incorporated Halloween into his simcha too!
